Editorial Policy

How we write, source, and check the content on Growvia.

Who writes our content

Articles on the Growvia blog are published by the Growvia Editorial Team — the people who build Growvia's self-checks and practices. We are not clinicians, and we don't present ourselves as such.

Our goal is to explain what established research and public health bodies say, in plain language, and to connect it to small practical steps you can try.

How we use AI

Our articles are written with the help of AI tools. We say this openly because you deserve to know how the content you read about your mental health is made.

Our first articles were published without a separate review step. In October 2026 we went back over all of them: we added a list of sources to every article, checked the specific research claims and statistics against the evidence, and corrected the ones that overstated it. New articles go through the same check before publishing.

AI is never allowed to invent statistics, quotes, studies, or expert opinions. If a claim can't be backed by a reliable source, we remove or soften it.

Sources we rely on

We prioritize public health institutions and peer-reviewed research: the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH), the World Health Organization (WHO), the NHS, and other government or academic sources.

Every article ends with a list of the sources it relies on. When an article makes a specific health claim — a symptom list, a diagnostic criterion, a statistic — it should be supported by one of them. Our articles are not yet reviewed by a licensed clinician; if that changes, we'll show it on each reviewed article.

What our content is — and isn't

Growvia articles and self-checks are for general information and self-reflection. They are not a diagnosis and don't replace care from a qualified health professional.

We avoid fear-based language and labels. Where a topic involves risk — for example, persistent symptoms or thoughts of self-harm — we point readers toward professional and crisis support.

Updates and corrections

Each article shows when it was published and when it was last updated. We review articles when guidance from our sources changes or when readers report a problem.
